The Blessing of Growing up in the Local ChurchToday, when I look back at my life, I have to thank the Lord. I had the privilege and blessing to grow up in a local church. I have two older brothers and two younger sisters. All of us grew up in this way. I realize that through my life I received love, care, and most of all God. By growing up in this environment, I was close to Christian brothers and sisters, who loved, enjoyed and experienced the Lord's love in a deep and real way. This afforded me a lot of help. I was preserved in my youth from a lot of things that today are damaging the younger generation. I learned to love the Lord and to experience Him in my daily life. I can testify that the Lord is very real to me. Being with Christian brothers in a local church for so many years, I was helped not only spiritually, but also humanly. The brothers and sisters in the local church encouraged me to get the highest education possible, to be prepared humanly. I really treasure the church. This is a place where I am being brought into the deeper experiences and enjoyment of Christ. This is a place where I have received a lot of care, a place in which I know that I really love the brothers and that the brothers love me. I owe much to the Lord and to the church. I really thank the Lord for putting me here. Everyday the Lord is sweeter and sweeter, and my life in the church is sweeter and richer. Thank you Lord. Deeper and More Real I would like to share and testify how grateful I am to the Lord and to the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. As someone who grew up in the local church in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, I'm full of thanks. The brothers and sisters there introduced me to the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. I am so thankful to the Lord for these two servants. Through their ministry, the Word has been opened to me in a clear, pure and faithful way. Now the Bible has a deeper meaning for me. Through their unveiling of the Word of God, I have received a lot of help. This has afforded me not only to know the Word in a deeper way, but also to enter into the reality and deeper experiences of Christ. This has given me the way to experience Christ in a deeper and richer way. Today I can only say, What a wonderful Christ I have! Through their ministry I have seen in a clear way God's eternal purpose as mentioned in Ephesians 3:11. By growing up in the local church, and by reading the ministry of these two brothers, I can say that the truths in the Bible are becoming more real and less theoretical to me Juan Carlos Rosario | Back to List |
